SEVENTEEN Blemish Balm BB Cream SPF 25

Hi guys! TGIF!!! Today’s Friday post is on Seventeens(17) Blemish Balm BB Cream SPF 25. I chose to buy and review this as it’s great for summer, since it contains SPF. This stuff is magical. It’s make up that covers imperfections and improves skin within 4 weeks. This is tinted, so it’s a foundation that’s SO healthy for your skin. This BB Improves the skin as it contains ingredients that help prevent break outs, minimise pores and control oil. It enhances skin and gives an even and smooth flawless finish. Blemish Balm covers and conceals imperfections with its full coverage formulation and protects the skin with SPF 25. This product goes a long way, as I use it everyday and I’m still using the tube I got 2 months ago. I’m pale and chose the lightest shade and it is perfect for me. Unlike other BB’s, this product is a thick creamy consistency and applies thickly and evenly to the face. I like to do two layers because I need a bit more coverage and I do use a bit of concealer over the top and set with powder. Still is a bargain at only €8.89. YES, EIGHT EIGHTY NINE. Such good value for an amazing product. It’s available in Light, Medium and Medium Dark. GO AND BUY THIS. You will not be disappointed. Buy this as you will have perfect skin for a very reasonable price.

Top 3 summer 2014 beauty essentials

These beauty essentials that I’m going to recommend to you are a MUST. They’re like your leg, that’s how important they are. My essential are;

1) Garnier Naturals Summer Body Moisturising Lotion: I’d be lost without this. Apply this after you’ve been sunbathing to add that extra sun kissed affect. I use this a lot as I live in Ireland and the sun is scarce. It works really well without having a natural sun tan underneath and it leaves you streak free, which is amazing. Apply after a shower every night and you’ll definitely notice a change the next day.  It currently costs €9.99 and is available in light/ medium.

2) Benefit ultra radiance facial re-hydrating mist: During the summer season all girls dread that their make up will come off since it’s so warm and humid outside. This mist created by Benefit is a lifesaver!! Apply this before and after your make up and it actually helps the make up stay perfectly on your face. I was slightly hesitant when buying this as I thought it would leave your face feeling sticky, but Benefit proved me wrong once again. I highly recommend it to all my friends, especially those who need a little refreshing break during the day. It  leaves skin fresh, crisp and bright. It costs €30.

3) Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Balm with SPF 15: During summer time my lips always get chapped or sun burnt. SPF lip balms are fantastic as they help prevent and protect chapped, cracked or wind-burned lips. I don’t know 1 person who uses sun cream on their lips as the taste and texture is horrible. With SPF lip balms you never have to put sun cream near your lips ever again. It lasts for hours and it leaves your lips moisturised and healthy-looking. It’s a bargain at only €2.69 and can be bought in any drug store/ pharmacy.

So that’s it folks. I highly recommend these 3 items for summer as I use them and could not fault them. If you’ve any quires just pop me a message and I’d be happy to help. Hope you enjoy!

How I cover blemishes and spots

Ever get some spots that are quite visible? Come on girls, I think every one of us gets spots every now and again. I raise my hand and admit that I get them and some do not look pleasant. When I get them, I use many different processes that actually make them look invisible. I’m going to show you my cover up routine. Step 1: I use “Triple performing facial lotion” by Benefit. This is a moisturiser that makes your skin feeling smooth, and also prevents dry skin. Step 2: I dab “L’Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer” on my spot itself and a small bit of this concealer on the area around it. Step 3: I then add “No7 stay perfect blemish cover” to try and reduce the redness of the spot itself. The great thing about this product is that it has a dry consistency and it reduces the shine. Step 4: To finish off I add some powder around the region of the blemish or spot to blend in the concealer or reduce the redness. Any facial powder should work. Loose powder works better, but a compact powder will also work. Thank you for reading. A photo below shows my skin before and after I used these techniques.

“Garnier” skin natural summer body moisturising Lotion

My Mam’s friend in work has been using this product and I decided to buy it as it looks SO natural. The “Garnier skin natural summer body moisturising lotion” is currently on offer at the moment, and it’s only €3.49. Such a great price for a great product. It’s available in light or medium. I wear the light because I want my tan to look really natural. For this tan to work, all you have to do is apply daily, and it builds a radiant and glowing gradual tan. The formula is enriched with chamomile and apricot extracts, to leave skin soft and supple. It’s a light lotion which is easy to apply and absorbed without greasiness to intensely moisturise skin for 12 hours. The main thing that I was concerned about was if it would streak? Well this tan is streak free, and doesn’t rub off you clothes which is a major plus. This tan is ideal as it’s easy to control and you can create the intensity of the colour that you’re looking for without going over the top too quickly. All in all, I recommend this product 100%. Run to your local Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Asda etc and buy this product since it’s on offer at the moment.

How did the stars celebrate St Patrick’s Day?

What did some of the celebrities get up to? Well, Kate Middleton dressed all in green even down to the eye-shadow. She was accompanied by her husband Prince William to present shamrocks to soldiers from the Irish Guards. Mariah Carey donned an emerald green bikini and a temporary shamrock tattoo as she spent St Patrick’s Day somewhere warmer and more exotic than Dublin .Khloe Kardashian posed with nephew Mason in a pair of shamrock glasses that I think were inspired by her future brother-in-law Kanye West. Pixie Lott wears shamrock specs with a bottle of Irish cider in her hand. Irish presenter Laura Whitmore cracked out the face paint and convinced cops in New York to let her walk in the city’s St Patrick’s Day parade. Paris Hilton posed in a St Patrick’s Day hate. Glee star Kevin McHale outed himself as an Irishman and spent St Patrick’s Day in County Mayo with his family. One Direction’s Niall Horan resisted the urge to party on St Paddy’s Day, instead having a quiet one with his nephew, Theo. It’s clear that all the celebrities got up to lots of antics!

Celebrities who are part Irish

Since it’s St Patrick’s day, I thought I’d write something that had something to do with the day that it is. It’s celebrities who are part Irish. Mariah Carey is one of many stars you might be surprised to learn has a little bit O’ Irish in them! During an interview, the music superstar joked about her mixed heritage: “My mother is Irish, my father is black and Venezuelan, and me, I’m tan, I guess”. He may be the country’s first African-American president, but Barack Obama is actually part Irish, too. Though his father was from Kenya, his Caucasian mother had Irish roots. Pop star Christina Aguilera was raised by an Ecuadorian father and an Irish-American mom. Ben Stiller’s famous parents, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, are both Jewish, but his mom is actually Irish-Catholic and converted to Judaism after marrying Jerry. No Doubt front-woman Gwen Stefani may have gotten her Italian last name from her father, but her mother Patti Flynn is part Irish. John Travolta’s mother is 100 percent Irish, and he was raised in a predominantly Irish neighborhood in New Jersey. Harrison Ford’s mother is Jewish, and his father is Irish. Global sensation Beyoncé Knowles has approximately 1/32 Irish ancestry. The list goes on when it comes to celebrities with Irish relatives. I’m 100% Irish and proud! Happy St Patrick’s Day everyone!
