SEVENTEEN Instant Glow Bronzing Powder

I love applying bronzer to my skin once I have my make up completed. I think it gives your make up an extra finish and adds that finishing spark. I’m familiar with lots of different bronzers such as Rimmel, Wet ‘n’ wild, Maybelline and much more. I decided to try Seventeens “Instant glow bronzing powder” since it’s a great price and I love this brand. This smooth buildable powder gives you the tan that you want to be. You can apply lots of this bronzer and look like an oompa loompa or add a little and look natural and sun kissed. A lot of people I know only use bronzer on their neck so it blends in with their face make up, but I think a layer of it looks amazing on top of your make up. I love the shiny finish. It doesn’t appear too orange and blends well to give an even application. It only €6.49 which is a fantastic price for such good quality.

Wet ‘n’ Wild coverall pressed powder

Wet ‘n’ Wild is a new make up brand that’s amazing. Such good quality for such a cheap price. I bought the compressed powder and it only cost €3. It’s visible on your skin all day and it’s weightless. It felt smooth to the touch, and didn’t contain any shimmer. The powder was light and made by skin look smooth and silky. The packaging is one of the best parts about this product, as it is small, slim and easy to put in your purse or handbag. These powders are available in lots of colours from light to light medium, medium to dark etc. The “Coverall Pressed Powder” has enough pigmentation to even out skin tone, but not so much so that it looks heavy or chalky. The addition of mica to the formula provides a subtle light-reflective quality that enlivens skin without looking too shiny. Given the absorbent nature of this powder, it’s best suited for normal to oily/combination skin. I love this powder. You can buy the “Wet ‘n’ wild” collection in Dunnes Stores, Penneys/Primark and local pharmacies/drug stores.

The Cosmetic Outlet Dublin

So there’s a make up, beauty and fashion store on Meath Street, Dublin 8 and they sell genuine designer and well branded products for excellent prices. Benefit, Rimmel, Mac, Revlon and much more for all well under €20. I recently bought 2 Revlon products for €5. That’s an excellent price for such good quality make up. The “Cosmetic Outlet” work with small suppliers and bulk buy their products. They’re all real and the exact same as you’d buy in Arnotts or Boots. The guy who works in the store is lovely. He’s always so chatty, has a great fashion sense, and knows so much about make up and beauty. Every time I’m in the shop he’s always recommending beauty techniques and what colour suits your skin the best. On their Facebook page they host lots of competitions that are so worth entering. I really cant fault “The Cosmetic Outlet” and they also do deliveries for €6 or free when you spend over €50. You can contact them on 085 111 9866 or email them on thecosmeticoutlet2012@gmail.com. Revlon creme eyeshadow

Revlon has to be one of my favourite make up brands. It’s suitable for all ages and some of their products are a reasonable price. I purchased their “Creme eyeshadow” a few days ago and I’m telling you it’s INCREDIBLE. They slide on the eyelid so effortlessly with a make up brush. A small amount of this eyeshadow goes a long way since they’re liquid based.  The “Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow” is a palette of four cream eyeshadows that can be used as a coloured bases for powder eyeshadows or can be worn alone for a more natural look, which I prefer to wear. On their own these eyeshadows look a lot more natural. Overall, the product is of great quality. The pigmentation, consistency and packaging are some of this product’s strengths. Each of the four gorgeous shades naturally complement each other and can be blended together to create completely new colors and striking effects. These products are also fragrance free. This eye shadow pallet costs €9.50, and it’s amazing!

Rimmel London Colour Rush Balm

So I’ve been lucky enough to have gotten these lip crayons from Suzanne Jackson, who owns the blog SoSueMe. I was delighted when I got these, as I’m obsessed with lipsticks. These lip balms are long lasting, and have a moist consistency. At €7.99, the Rimmel lasting finish colour rush balms or crayons as I would call them, are affordable and amazing. They’re pigmented, look like lipsticks, but keep my lips hydrated and they’re an absolute joy to wear. I love these so much because they have so many different shades, and they’re all pretty and feminine. They make my lips feel like I’ve lots of lip balm on and still have the colour of normal lipsticks. They apply really nicely, look super natural on the lips and have a soft vanilla scent which is really pleasant. You don’t even need a mirror to apply these as they go on your lips so evenly and lightly. I would 100% recommend these, as they’re affordable and available in a ray of colours.

No7 beautiful skin cleansing brush

I’ve wanted this No7 cleansing brush for the past few months and I GOT IT. I tried it out and it’s incredible. A lot of people say that all of these products are a scam or a myth, but they actually work. This brush gently exfoliates and deeply cleanses the skin, removing more dirt, oil and make up than manual cleansing alone. It’s easy and quick to use, and you can see results within 60 seconds.

How to Use:

1) Remove any eye make up.

2) Apply cleanser as normally instructed, leaving your cleanser generously covering your forehead, cheeks and chin.

3) Wet the brush head and press the power button. The Cleansing Brush offers a choice of 2 speeds. Pressing the power button twice will increase the brush speed and will offer a deeper clean.

4) Gently massage your face with small circular movements focusing on your forehead, cheeks and chin for about 30 seconds.

5) Wash away cleanser with warm water.

It’s really as simple as that! It currently costs €33, and it available to buy at Boots.

How I cover blemishes and spots

Ever get some spots that are quite visible? Come on girls, I think every one of us gets spots every now and again. I raise my hand and admit that I get them and some do not look pleasant. When I get them, I use many different processes that actually make them look invisible. I’m going to show you my cover up routine. Step 1: I use “Triple performing facial lotion” by Benefit. This is a moisturiser that makes your skin feeling smooth, and also prevents dry skin. Step 2: I dab “L’Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer” on my spot itself and a small bit of this concealer on the area around it. Step 3: I then add “No7 stay perfect blemish cover” to try and reduce the redness of the spot itself. The great thing about this product is that it has a dry consistency and it reduces the shine. Step 4: To finish off I add some powder around the region of the blemish or spot to blend in the concealer or reduce the redness. Any facial powder should work. Loose powder works better, but a compact powder will also work. Thank you for reading. A photo below shows my skin before and after I used these techniques.

Bourjois “Colour Edition 24hr”

So I was shopping in Boots recently, and I saw the “Colour Edition 24hr” by Bourjois. I was immediately attracted by the shine/sparkles in these eyeshadows. Available in 6 colours, this collection is perfect if you want big, bold and noticeable eyes. They’re a bargain at only €8.99. Such a good price for such good quality. This formula glides onto your eyelids effortlessly with a metallic effect, and also has 24 hour hold. The amazing thing about these eyeshadows is that they do not smudge. The colours are fabulous and the pigmentation is incredible. They’re easy to use as a base and also great for a simple wash of colour above or below the eye. They make a simple smokey eye look a bit more interesting with an added pop of colour. recommend these 100%.

Natural Collection Loose Powder

The “Natural Collection” is a great make up brand. It’s cheap and only made with safe and healthy ingredients for you skin. This loose powder only cost €2.49 and covers up blemishes PERFECTLY. It mattified and helped keep my foundation on throughout the day. It makes my skin feel smooth, covers imperfections, and reduces the shine. This product is fragrance free and dermatologically tested which for me is a major plus. The packaging is okay and is in a sturdy plastic tub and although the powder is finely milled it does not come out of the packaging. This comes in 3 shades Cool Translucent, Neutral Translucent & Warm Translucent. It does not look cakey on the skin. All in all I love this powder.

No7 stay perfect smoothing & brightening eye base

Anyone else love no7? Have you tried the “perfect smoothing & brightening eye base”? It’s incredible. It creates an even base for colour to float on smoothly underneath the eyelid and it’s a perfect base for your eyeshadow. It keeps your eye make up in place all day, does make your shadows have extra colour intensity and keeps my eyes hydrated all day without creasing or my shadow sliding. It’s great for covering blemishes, which I certainly need. I love the texture, the colour, and becomes invisible on your skin. I don’t really understand the applicator, it’s practically useless, even I know that fingers are the best tool to even primer, especially when it comes to your eyelid. This applicator is not good so do not use it. It’s wrong, as it is too short and does not match the texture of the primer. It cost €9.25 and it’s SO WORTH IT.
